Dear Williamstown Junior Football Club Community,
We’re pleased to report that our first committee meeting of the year was a success, and we’re excited for the season ahead. The club is in great shape, with strong registrations, coaches appointed, and pre-season training well underway.
However, we are still in urgent need of a Treasurer. Despite our efforts, we have not had any volunteers come forward for this critical role. As a result, we have had to seek a quote for professional services, which would come at a significant cost to the club. This would either reduce the funds available for our players or require us to increase fees in the future.
To address this, we see a few possible solutions:
A volunteer from within our community steps up to join the committee as Treasurer.
An accounting firm from our community sponsors the club by providing these services.
We pay for these services, which would be a major shift from our long-standing volunteer-led approach.
The Treasurer role is not a major time commitment and would suit an accountant, bookkeeper, or business owner with financial experience who can oversee the club’s finances with the support of our committee.
We strongly encourage anyone with the relevant skills and willingness to contribute to come forward. If you or someone you know is interested, or if you have suggestions for sponsorship support, please reach out to
president@williamstownjuniors.com.auThank you for being part of our club—we appreciate your ongoing support!
